Droitwich Community Transport

CT vehicle

This vital community transport scheme helps residents of Droitwich Spa and the surrounding rural areas, including Crowle, Dodderhill, Doverdale, Hadzor, Hampton Lovett, Hanbury, Hindlip, Martin Hussingtree, North Claines, Oddingley, Ombersley, Salwarpe and Westwood.

This scheme enables those who cannot use conventional public transport or do not have access to public transport due to their rural location. Or no longer have access to their own vehicle due to their age, mobility difficulties, or a disability.

We want to support residents in remaining independent and reduce the risk of exclusion through social or rural isolation. This scheme is delivered by volunteer drivers who provide door to door transport either in a car or wheelchair adapted vehicle. The friendly team of male and female volunteer drivers happily give up their time to support others in their community.

Transport can be provided for doctor’s appointments, hospital appointments, or other medical appointments also to dentists, opticians, day centres, social activities, weekly clubs or visiting friends and family.

If you or someone you know may find this scheme helpful or you are interested in becoming a volunteer driver please contact the Transport Office for further information on 01905 779778 or email lorna@droitwichcvs.org.uk
